Fine Artists

Been working a bit with Keith recently on his Guild of Fine Artists. He asked me to look over the Guild Pub and see if I noticed anything that might be of concern.

The Imager wasn’t working initially, and a little fiddling with the KI didn’t make much difference. Probably designed to listen only to certain versions. That should be easy enough to fix though.

I’m thinking that I should try cleaning out behind the curtains in the Guild of Writers Pub at some point. We could use the extra seating, and it would be a great place to store linking books prior to passing them to the Maintainers.

Colours and Sands

Wow… I promised KI shots way over a month ago and never got around to uploading them. Sorry ’bout that, been busy with a variety of stuff.

I haven’t done anything to stop random people from wandering into my shells, especially #201.

It’s fairly obvious that the silicon and iron in the sand are reacting in some way to the magnetization, and the roof seems to enhance the effect.

I also took a shot of myself from behind, showing the unusual pattern of multiple shadows.

It seems that the light from the reaction gathers in the corners of the roof and is reflected back down to the surface. The roof is almost invisible in the KI shots, but when inside the shell it’s quite noticeable.

Shell 410 on the other hand is progressing, I’ve gotten my door lock figured out and started moving my stuff to the inside of the building. I should probably build a desk and store my writing down there, rather than on the surface… That darn clay stuff is a pain to carve though, and I didn’t think to make the doorway or staircase large enough to fit a desk. I’ve also got a small pool of water near the back, which is infinitely useful when trying to sculpt benches and beds. At least the clay is going to use… digging it out wasn’t entirely futile after all.
